Perdido Key Chamber Announces the 2024-2025 Perdido Key Leadership Class

Perdido Key, FLAugust 15, 2024, The Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce proudly announces the launch of its inaugural Leadership Perdido Key (LPK) program, introducing the 2024-2025 class of 16 outstanding professionals. Representing a diverse cross-section of businesses and organizations throughout the Perdido Key area, these individuals have been carefully selected to participate in a transformative leadership journey.

LPK, powered by Alabama Credit Union, is a groundbreaking initiative designed to cultivate and enhance the leadership potential within our vibrant community. Over the course of five months, participants will engage in a series of immersive experiences, using the community itself as a dynamic classroom. This program will allow them to deeply understand the area’s strengths and challenges and equip them with the skills necessary to address those challenges effectively.
Participants will be exposed to a wide array of critical subjects, including Local Government, Tourism & Hospitality, Environment, Military, and Healthcare/non-profits. Through these sessions, led by industry leaders and subject matter experts, class members will learn how to motivate and engage others in collaborative efforts to drive meaningful change.

"We are thrilled to introduce this exceptional leadership development program,” said Tammy Thurow, President/CEO of the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce. “Our community’s success depends on strong, engaged leaders. Leadership Perdido Key is designed to foster that growth, ensuring a bright future for our region."

The LPK class will convene once a month from September through January, culminating in a graduation ceremony and special recognition at the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner and Awards ceremony on January 29th, 2025. This event will not only celebrate the achievements of the participants but also highlight the importance of leadership in driving the community forward.
