Women Mean Business: LeadHer Lunch Series - May 2026
The Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce's Women Mean Business Committee is proud to present a new event series, Women Mean Business: LeadHer Lunch Series. This series is designed to connect, inspire, and empower women in business. This "power hour" style event is your opportunity to network with other professionals and hear from dynamic local leaders who are making an impact in our community. Event doors will open at 11:00AM for networking, and Michelle Salzman will begin speaking at 11:30AM.
Meet our Speaker - Representative Michelle Salzman, District One, Florida House of Representatives
Representative Michelle Salzman proudly serves Florida’s 1st House District, representing Escambia County in the Florida House of Representatives. A United States Army veteran, Michelle served five years on active duty, earning multiple commendations for her leadership and dedication. After completing her military service, she returned home to Northwest Florida, continuing her commitment to service through education, small business ownership, and community leadership.
Elected to the Florida House in 2020, Representative Salzman has focused her legislative efforts on strengthening families, supporting veterans, expanding access to mental health resources, improving public safety, and promoting economic opportunity across our region. She is the founder of the Mental Health Task Force of Northwest Florida and has been actively involved in numerous organizations dedicated to helping children, families, and underserved members of the community.
Representative Salzman brings a servant’s heart, strong leadership experience, and a deep passion for Northwest Florida to her work both in Tallahassee and at home in the district.

The Women Mean Business Committee brings together women in the Perdido area to empower, support, and uplift one another through meaningful connection, collaboration, and community involvement. Our mission is to empower women by sharing professional experiences, building lasting business relationships, and supporting women-focused philanthropic efforts. Each quarter, WMB tries to host a variety of events designed to foster connection and personal growth while keeping things fun, fresh, and meaningful. Events typically range from structured networking to relaxed social gatherings, with something for everyone!
