Perdido Key, FL - December 19, 2023
The Women Mean Business Committee of the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce spread holiday cheer at their annual "Jingle Mingle" event on November 30th, 2023. This festive gathering, held at Sunset Grille, brought together dynamic businesswomen and community members to celebrate the spirit of the season while making a positive impact.
The committee, dedicated to fostering the growth of businesswomen in all facets of life, organized this special holiday-themed event with the primary goal of raising funds for a local charity. The featured speaker for the evening was Cinnamon Swift, Vice President of Secret Santa Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization. Swift provided valuable insights into the impactful work that Secret Santa Inc. carries out for families and community members in the Perdido Area.
During the event, the Women Mean Business Committee successfully raised $500 in donations for Secret Santa Inc. These funds play a crucial role in supporting the Secret Santa program, allowing them to allocate $100 per child and take parents shopping to ensure personalized and meaningful gifts for each child based on their interests and needs.
Tammy Thurow, President and CEO of the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce, expressed her gratitude for the generosity of those who attended the Jingle Mingle event. "Our community came together with great enthusiasm to support a wonderful cause. The $500 raised will make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families during this holiday season," said Thurow.
The Women Mean Business Committee remains committed to supporting local causes and looks forward to future events that contribute to the betterment of the Perdido Area community.
