Meet the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors - Jeanine Fowler

Interview with Jeanine Fowler, Production Manager for PrimeLending and Board Member at the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce

1. INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND
Q: What is your business or profession, and how does it contribute to the Perdido Key community?
A: I am a Production Manager with PrimeLending.  We have loan products to meet almost every need whether our residents are buying their first home, a second home or an investment property, I would love to help.
Q: Can you briefly describe your role or job within your business?
A: I originate mortgage loans (we have over 400 mortgage products) for all types of homes from manufactured homes to luxury condominiums.
Q: Can you please introduce yourself and briefly describe your current position within the Chamber's Board of Directors?
A: In addition to being a Board member, I am also on active in our Chamber committees; Ambassador of the Key, Business Development and Women Mean Business.
Q: How long have you been a member of the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce?
A: I joined PKACC in January 2023.

2. INVOLVEMENT WITH THE CHAMBER
Q: What motivated you to start getting involved with the Chamber, and how did you initially become a member?
A: I was at a ribbon cutting for a local business and current members, Dean and Dannette Wood, encouraged me.  They said I would fit right in and truer words were never spoken.  In such a short time, PKACC members have become like family.  Growing up here, (my family settled in the Perdido Beach area in 1913 as self-employed farmers) it makes me so happy to see our area businesses thriving.
Q: Could you share a memorable experience or achievement during your tenure with the Chamber?
A: I was named the 3rd quarter Ambassador of the Quarter and then had the honor of receiving the Ambassador of the Year award for 2023.  What a huge shock and true privilege to serve our community.

3. IMPACT OF SERVING ON THE BOARD
Q: In what ways has serving on the Chamber's Board of Directors positively impacted you personally and professionally?
A: Personally, I have met some of the most outstanding people living on the Gulf Coast.  Many have become friends.  I love walking into a local business, seeing their smiling faces and knowing that I am supporting a Chamber member.  Professionally, I have made contacts that I may not have met otherwise, especially through our networking events.
4. ADVICE FOR CHAMBER MEMBERS
Q: Based on your experience, what advice would you offer to new or existing Chamber members looking to maximize their involvement and benefits?
A: Simply show up.  The staff is great at keeping the calendar updated.  I go through the calendar monthly and show up for every event can.  I jumped in with both feet and never looked back.  Getting involved is one of the best ways to strengthen your business.  When businesses support each other, we are building a stronger community.
5. PERSONAL INSIGHTS
Q: Beyond your professional endeavors, could you share a hobby or interest that you're passionate about?
A: I think all my fellow Board and Committee members will tell you I love my chickens.  I live in the “country by the beach” and have nine chickens, three dogs and a cat.  I love traveling (just returned from my first trip to Europe), boating (looking forward to Red, White and Blues in July) and listening to live music.
Q: What drives your commitment to community involvement, and are there any other organizations or causes you're passionate about supporting?
A: I think my servant heart is in my DNA and was ingrained in me as a child.  Both of my parents were heavily involved in their community and gave selflessly.  I always feel my best when I am giving to others as well.

6. FUTURE OUTLOOK
Q: Looking ahead, what do you envision for the future of the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce?
A: I see our Chamber membership growing and our businesses thriving.  I see new businesses coming and our area’s economy continuing to flourish.  Our amazing members will just keep getting better and better.
