DESCRIPTION:The Chamber will be offering a networking breakfast for those early birds! There will be catered breakfast as well as a program dedicated to a keynote speaker\, and any chamber and area updates! \n\n\n\nThe Keynote Speaker for this Early-Risers breakfast will be Jim Howe\, Director of Staffing for Landrum HR. \n\n\n\nTopic: \n\n2019 Workforce Landscape - Attract and Hire the Right Employees\n\n \n\nFor the first time on record\, we officially have more job openings than unemployed people in our country. Locally\, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that our unemployment rate is below 3% and according to many leading economists\, we reach "full employment" when our unemployment rate hits 4.5%. That's a level that we haven't seen in the Pensacola area since October of 2015\, 3 full years ago.\n\n \n\nWith 36 consecutive months over the full employment threshold and nearing historic lows with our unemployment rate\, the question most companies are asking is\, "How do we attract and hire the right employees\, and what steps can we take to ensure that we have the necessary talent to sustain and grow our business?"\n\n \n\nWe will explore specific market data and demographic trends as well as discuss a framework for an attraction and hiring strategy that will impact your ability to hire more effectively in 2019.\n\n \n\nJim Howe is the Director of Staffing for Landrum HR. He has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the Staffing Industry\, having worked for a couple of large national organizations. Jim's expertise is working with companies of all sizes to implement workforce management solutions that are focused on attracting\, engaging and retaining the right workforce.
