Join us at Big Lagoon State Park for an informative lunch and learn session with plenty of opportunity for interaction. You are welcome to bring your own lunch to enjoy while learning about the rich cultural history of the unique Pensacola area. This bi-weekly program will span centuries of history including early settlements during pre and post colonial times, the establishment and fortification of the naval yard, and the role of the area in various wars throughout modern history. This general history of the area will also touch on the decision made to preserve many natural areas and the establishment of both national and state parks to protect the Real Florida. This is a free program with regular paid park admission. Masks are encouraged and we ask all visitors to adhere to social distancing guidelines. You are welcome to bring your own chairs or utilize picnic tables in the pavilion.
